Whether you’re the first one up to catch the mountain sunrise or hitting the snooze button for some much needed rest and relaxation, there’s nothing better than starting the day with a cup of coffee (or hot chocolate for the kids!). Early risers can take our personalized styrofoam cups and head outdoors first thing, while night owls can enjoy hot drinks for a leisurely morning at the lodge. Totes for Trailblazing Treats

Insulated-Canvas-Cooler-Bag-Silver-Insulated-Personalized-Monogram-Name-Red-Natural-Canvas-900

No hike is complete without a few essentials, from refreshing drinks to afternoon snacks. Bring an insulated canvas cooler bag along to keep drinks cold and food fresh. Whatever you want to bring, our personalized tote is the perfect trail companion. Our favorite snack to stow is and upgraded trail mix. For a gourmet treat, we love these Vegan Trail Mix Chocolate Clusters from The Healthy Foodie. Prep time is less than an hour, so making these tasty treats can double as a fun weekend activity for the kids too.

We like to whip up this trailblazing treat first thing in the morning while we make hot chocolate and coffee, then throw it in the fridge to “set and forget” while carrying on with the morning. When you’re ready to hit the trails, these delicious snacks will be ready to pack.

This recipe (much like some of our favorite Two Funny Girls products) is completely customizable, so feel free to get creative. For a more decadent treat, we like to fold in some white chocolate chips or even bring creamy peanut butter to spread on top! Trust us, the kids will go crazy for this crunchy, chewy and creamy option.

These canvas cooler bags can be left at the mountain house for future weekends away, but we have a feeling you’ll want to bring them home and reuse for summer trips to the beach or pool. These insulated bags keep snacks and sunscreens cool, and keep technology from overheating in the hot sun, too!

Personalized Sips at Post-Hiking Happy Hour

Meet back at the lodge after a day on the mountains for a well-deserved evening toast. Pass around a signature cocktail to sip on or uncork a bottle of wine to unwind at the end of an activity-packed day. We love the feeling of sipping on a delicious drink next to a roaring fire, all while surrounded by friends and family.

A frosty and fresh Moscow Mule is a simple cocktail to create, but is always a crowd-pleaser. It’s cool enough to sip on in the summertime, but something about the spicy ginger taste makes it just as perfect for a cool mountain evening, too.

Make a Mule

Cookie and Kate, one of our favorite food blogs, has the Best Moscow Mule recipe for a night at the lodge. Kate (and Cookie, her sweet pup) recommends Fever Tree as the best ginger beer option for this recipe, and we have to agree! It’s a classic, and available at most any grocery or liquor store.

The details are murky, but the origin of the Moscow Mule isn’t Russia, but rather good old-fashioned American capitalism. Rumor has it the cocktail is the product of three business owners with a surplus of goods, namely copper mugs, ginger beer and vodka. The three put their heads (and goods) together to create the now-beloved cocktail back in the 1940’s and thus the Moscow Mule was born. The drink is even credited as a popularizer of Vodka, something new to the states at the time.

This simple but delicious recipe combines only three basic ingredients (ginger beer, vodka and fresh lime juice) for a refreshing libation sure to have guests coming back for more.

While a copper mug is often the signature of a Moscow mule, our personalized shatterproof cups are easily customizable and perfect for a “mountain mule.” While the frosted finish adds a touch of sophistication, the custom shatterproof plastic cups make for easy packing and cleanup when the weekend is over.
